Economic Consulting Salary Negotiation
I got an offer at a top economic consulting firm with a generous compensation package. However, even though I have a few years of experience (not consulting but similar skill set), my offered position/title is lower than what it should be--apparently it's firm policy. Still, they gave me a nice sign on bonus, which added to base makes my overall compensation at about the average base salary level of a senior. Should I negotiate the base to match that of a senior, or settle for what I have? I don't have any experience negotiating salary.
