Education advice for an aspiring quant
Hey all, so I'm a current undergraduate freshman at Penn State's honors college dual majoring in finance and mathematics, and I have the option of taking part in a program that allows me to do a concurrent masters in applied statistics (22 additional credits so the workload would only be like two extra credits a semester). This program would be done in 4 years similar to my undergrad. Alternatively, I could scratch the masters and minor in computer science or something, then apply to a more prestigious MFE or similar program down the line. Ultimate career goal is to work in some type of quant role at a hedge fund.
Anyone want to give me advice on whether I should pull the trigger on this program?
