Elon Musk stated that he is working with Silver Lake on a take private of Tesla
Any thoughts on this?
Firstly, I think Silver Lake has not even enough capital to take a company private half of Tesla's size.
Secondly, this is for me a consortium play with some sovereigns/ pension funds/ PE firms of the size of KKR
Thirdly, I do not consider a tech company?
Elon is full of shit and this is a cover your ass play by him since he should face criminal and civil penalties for market manipulation and misleading investors (though probably won't from the gutless S.E.C.).
