Email Signature Format
Just wondering how people format their signature on work email:
-what is the structure (name, title, company name, address, office #, cell #, etc)
-what font/font size do you use?
-do you use some sort of company logo or is it all text?
-does everyone within your group, or even your entire firm, have the same format, or do people differ?
Name | Title (Analyst) Division (Optional) Firm Name Street / Suite City, State Zip ph: | fax: | mobile:
always wondered why people used mobile instead of cell in signatures. happens at my firm too.
wtf is facsimile?
Name | Title, Group | Company | Mailing Address, City, State Zip | P: (123) 456-7890 | F: (123) 456-7890 | M: (123) 456-7890 | email address | company url
Name (bold and +1 bigger font) Title Group Company Email Phone
size 9 font and 10 for name
and everyone on my team has a different one... depends on the company, smaller companies they are usually premade
Full Name Company | Title, Group (Associate, M&A) Office: | Mobile: Email: Street City, State, Zip Company website

What's your email signature look like? (Originally Posted: 03/13/2015)
Just thought about this today as I'm headed to a MSF program, my signature still only lists by undergrad institution. Do most people list both, or is that just obnoxious?
Current signature:
Fname Lname (xxx) xxx-xx [email protected] MS Finance Candidate, 2016, School Name BSc Finance, 2015, School Name
Thoughts?
What is the point of an email signature for a college student? Serious question. Most of the people who you will be emailing (classmates, professors, etc.) see you on a weekly basis, unlike professionals who may never see each other, making signature contact information important. I would remove it. It looks toolish (like that "incoming summer analyst" thing).
EDIT: If you do decide to keep the signature, I would remove the degrees. They are not certifications or anything. If you are a CPA, CFA, etc., put that after your name, but listing degrees (like the people who say "Jon Doe, MBA") is annoying.
Really man, no point on using email signature.
Thanks for the feedback guys, this was the type of thing I was confirming. I'll trim it down to more basic info.
Btw which MSF you going to panda?
95% leaning towards WUSTL. Waiting to hear back from Duke MMS but I think I'd do WashU over it... I want to end up in VC and Duke's program doesn't seem like the best route to get there.
MSF won't get help you break into VC.
