EMEA Off-Cycle Internship

I searched around but couldn't find anything too in depth.

Does anyone have any information on EMEA Off-Cycle Internships, besides what's posted on BB websites? How difficult are these for American students taking a semester off to get? I was looking at trying to get one for next spring. I realize I'm late but the deadlines aren't clear-cut or still open for about 2 more weeks.

Thanks

Hi, I'm not sure how hard they are for Americans to get since they will need to sponsor you for a short term work visa which can be quite cumbersome. However I know that these internships are generally easier to get than the summer ones because there are less applicants available (since most people have school). I have some classmates (based in the UK) who were unable to get any summer internships and who are now doing an autumn internship after graduation.

I disagree with the above post that you need to network to get these positions, since there are quite a few postings online. My friends applied to these postings last year around february and were able to land interviews a lot more easily than for summer internships. Just keep checking back for EMEA postings. Some banks with these opportunities are JPM, CS, DB and Soc gen .

Talked to some Citi associates from Frankfurt yesterday and they also suggested that off-cycle was easier to get, so that seems definitely true.

They also mentioned that they post all of them online, so not too sure about the networking post.
