english in european offices?
so which offices in europe can someone work at with minimal foreign language experience? this is mainly aimed towards BCG offices. after some networking, some alumni told me places like zurich and copenhagen will take you on if you only know english. anyone know of others besides london?
Zurich will not take you on with minimal German. Although a lot of the business will be done in English, German is needed.
thx walkio. any other recommendations where this is actually possible?
If your set on Switzerland, there is an apprentice/internship program between the US and Switzerland that allows recent graduates a non-traditional visa (versus work/visitor visa) to legally work/live within the country for a decent amount of time (can't remember the exact duration). I forget the group that is in charge of this, but take a look and I'm sure you will find it. Many people don't know about this program, I only discovered it because I thought I had an opportunity to go to Geneva. This is definitely good to know when talking to Swiss employers, because this just might be a bigger issue ( obtaining a work visa) than not knowing French/German.
Copenhagen is a pretty good bet. Maybe Amsterdam, Stockholm, or Oslo.
