My understanding is that relatively quickly you mostly end up working for a partner (at least I have done 2 deals with the same deal team and it was the same partner/associate combo and apparently these two guys pretty much only work together). So that’s great in the sense that you’re not fighting too much to push back on stuff coming your way from 59 different guys and if he backs you up you can move  up, but it’d better be a good partner. Also the firm has expanded a LOT over the last few years and is a very large shop these days, converting from Principal to partner will he the hard thing. But still overall a fantastic place if you want to do large blue chip TMT/Healthcare/Consumer Buyouts and other on trend deals paying 15x+ multiples. 

 

I understand culture there is very relaxed, not many suits in the office.
