Equity research report titles
Anyone else find some of these mildly amusing?
This morning I saw:
Dude, where's my liquidity?
Debt before dishonor
I'm sure there are a lot better ones out there.

Equity Research is an interesting profession. I mean, even the Goldman reports have headers that end with ?!???!....I think one question mark would suffice...
To their credit, they crank out reports within a day of the earnings release...
I find these titles amusing as well.
It varies across the firm I work at and my analyst will ocassionally throw in a random one at times. Rumor has it though, people (buyside) are more likely to read a report with the unique (or crazy, whichever you prefer) title which ultimately can improve an analysts' franchise.
Here's a couple good ones that I saw recently:
Pop A Cap In Your Assets—Medical Costs Higher
Insurance Is Like Marriage: Pay, Pay, Pay, & Never Get Anything Back
Catchy titles definitely work. I once wrote a report with a title something like
Who Stole Carmen Sandiego's Virginity?
Carmen Sandiego was a popular character in Broderbund's educational software line.

Post-trading, it would most certainly be awesome to be a publishing researcher at a BB with complete stylistic discretion.
My favorite title of all time was a UBS rates report back in Jan 08: "Fear and Loathing in Treasuries"
