Equity Sales Exit Opportunities

Hi guys,

Just joined the WSO and this is my first post so any help/guidance would be much appreciated!

Just to give you some background, I'm a 1st year analyst at a US Bulge Bracket firm in equity sales after having done the internship last summer and I did a summer in M&A before that (the worst 10-weeks of my life hands down haha...)

I love the markets and being on the trading floor is exciting but I don't feel fulfilled as I'm starting to realise (although obvious) that there is very little to show for your achievements in the role (bar $$ of course) and also struggling with waking at 5am every day. So I was wondering if people on here had switched out of S&T (equity sales in particular) to other client-facing roles in finance? I am not a quanty guy at all and recognise it's my soft skills where I excel and so was thinking about moving to PWM or a role in AM that is more client facing? I'm not sure how transferable the skills are but guessing that by being at a major BB in London would help?

Any advice or job roles that you think would fit this bill would be much appreciated!
