Europeans: Considered 2-year US MBA?

Hey peoples,

I am in the position where I'm considering an MBA. I have spent my career to date in Europe, however because of the area I am in I was recommended a specific MBA school in the US.

Looking at this however, I notice that it's a 2-year, whilst the European norm is 1-year.

Costs is obviously an issue - we're talking $80,000 per year apparently for the US one, compared to a similar sum for the European single year. I am not independently wealthy, so everything would have to be saved up or borrowed.

I'm also thinking that - really - a few years down the line nobody cares how long your MBA was. The name counts, and that's it. Or?

Basically, any Europeans who have considered this dilemma and have put some thought into it?
