Evaluating my options

Hi WSO,

It has recently become my goal to break into the banking industry. I am a 2013 grad from a top ranked (non-target) LAC, with a 3.2 gpa. I currently have been working in pwm for 1 year (elite boutique in SF) and while I have gained some valuable skills ultimately I see myself wanting to work/advise with companies/ceo's. I am not sure if that path exists from where I am but some advice would be appreciated.

I have been thinking about sitting for my CFA® in December but also not sure how that would help me break into banking. Assuming I passed all 3 levels it would probably help take focus away from my low gpa when I apply for an mba a couple years down the line.

my other option is to spend a couple months studying modeling and then start cold emailing/whatever to get into a no-name boutique so I could then move to a reputable place.

my final option is a masters in finance. While i know i could rock the GMAT I am not sure if my gpa would hold me back.

With that said, I really dislike my job and could not see myself here for the long run. I have my 7 and 63. any advice would be appreciated...Any options I haven't considered?
