Glad to see another person types in "Real Estate Analyst" into the LinkedIn job board 10+ times a day.
gotta do what you gotta do
This hits home
Would imagine the bulk of their work is placing investors into funds
Can someone please explain this business in detail?
The description is broad (M&A advisory, capital raising, etc.) but I would imagine it's a whole lot of fundraising, secondary market sales of fund interests, etc.
I have zero interest in the job I am just curious for my own edification.
My general perception of this group is that they probably don't do a ton of business and nobody really knows that much about real estate. You tell people you work for Evercore, but you're not really an investment banker and you're not really a real estate guy either. I guess I just don't understand who grows up and says yeah I wanna do this job. Equities in Dallas...
No offense to anyone that works in this group - I realize that was pretty harsh. I would honestly love to be proved wrong!
I would agree with your overall sentiment however, a role like this would be a good start and a good resume grab starting out. Someone with “Evercore- Analyst, Real Estate Capital Advisory” can probably land a reputable Capital Markets role at a good RE shop and could even maybe land some REPE interviews based on name recognition alone.
In the past I've worked with them in a placement agent capacity, whereby Evercore was the intermediary for repcaping our opco. Lots of groups out there seeking GP level investment opportunities so probably a good gig. More corporate level RE I am sure.
Can't speak to what else they may do.
Evercore acquired this platform around 2018, but forgot the previous name. May be able to find more info about the deals they do if you find the previous name.
I believe it was Greenhill previously, we were working with Greenhill on a recap when they switched.
Has anyone received first rounds for this group?
Received offer last week. First rounds were last month...
Congrats man, was this for SA/FT?
Hey man, I got an interview with them lined up. Was it more technical or behavioural. Also did they require you to do an excel test. How was the assessment centre like??
Bump
Group acquired out of Greenhill. This role is a equity capital raising role. Not very technical. Most people exit to investor relations roles at large shops. Good experience overall but it's not M&A
This is accurate. If people out of college knew what IR/fundraising at large shops gets paid/does I think more people would vie for the position.
How much do they get paid? I’m sure decent pay.
but what they do...why do you think more ug’s would vie for this role?

hello there, everyone
Has anyone in this group gotten their first round?
There's an upcoming sophomore event, so I presume first rounds havent gone out yet
yeah , do you know selective the open houses are or if everyone that applies gets in?
