Evercore Return Offer
Currently a Summer Analyst in M&A at EVR. The internship will be wrapping up next Friday. Does anyone know when return offers are usually given out? Is it the last week / day or after the internship is over? Have seen mixed things so would appreciate some insight from anyone who has been through the process before.
Bump
last day
Was this your experience? Appreciate the response!
Unrelated but do you know if evercore is taking FT analysts
Good question^
Not FT at EVR yet, but I'd expect that they take at least a few FT analysts (although SA class for NY was pretty large, ~55)
We are thinking Thursday or Friday last week.
Thank you! SB'd
Question: Do the bankers on your projects / deals (people you’ve listed as a reviewer) know if you’ve received a return yet? Asking as I feel that my analyst has been implying I have a return but not sure if that’s just her generalizing
If i’m being honest I doubt they’ll know. It’s always good as an analyst to generalise that every intern your dealing with gets a return to boost their confidence and not be too negative.
How does the return offer deliberation typically go? Like is it essentially just based on year end reviews?
yes
Related question, does anyone know how long we generally have to accept return offers? I have an interview scheduled for the beginning of next week so want to gauge how much time I'd have for the process.
Does it look bad if you don't accept on the spot?
There’s no official deadline to the offer if I remember correctly, but you give up a 15k early signing incentive if you don’t sign within 2 weeks. I would just say thank you when you get it and not say much else. They don’t really care if you accept on the phone or not
