Evercore SA Interview: ips/advice on how to prep?

Hi all,

I have a SA interview with Evercore Partners coming up and could use some tips/advice on how to prep. Has anyone interviewed with them before? I have a markets focused background so need help across the board..

Thanks guys,

I know a lot of websites are scattered around this forum, but any sites/books you guys rec I check out that you have found helpful (I already have been through the Vault Guide and the WSO technical guide)? There's a lot of them out there; some are definitely better than others. I have only taken one corp fin class and one financial accounting class (not a business major)..

This is more of a general ibanking interview question but given that my work experience has been more on the markets side, should I expect more market-focused questions than other interviewees or are they more likely to just focus on the IBD techinicals? I am expecting a few behavioral questions on this (i.e. why banking not trading, etc).

Thanks guys, really appreciate this.

D- Demonstrate Value (explain why you are a good fit for EVR) E- Engage (launch into some sports banter here) N- Nurturing Dependence (make THEM want YOU) N- Neglect Emotionally (don't come off as too desperate) I- Inspire Hope (show them there are no chips on your non-target shoulders) S- Separate Entirely (leave them wanting more; sit back, and wait for the final round call)

Expect some tough technicals, the top boutiques usually won't ask easy ones, I interviewed with a peer boutique and even though I am near complete non-finance background, they immediately went into theoretical DCF and net working capital questions.

Study to understand the underlying concepts and make sure you know the pieces and components. That way, you can do the thinking out loud and help progress to a logical conclusion.

I also got a brainteaser.
