Examples of deals advised by boutiques thanks to long-standing MD relationships (e.g. AT&T / Time Warner)
Hey guys!
I have been reading the forum for a few years and find it really great and helpful. This is why I am turning to you for help with a question which might actually be interesting to a lot of users here.
I am currently writing a short paper for my university regarding boutique investment banks and I need some examples of deals where the advisers were boutique MDs that had previously advised the relevant companies at a bulge bracket bank.
A great example is the AT&T / Time Warner deal - AT&T working with Woody Young and Time Warner working with Ketan Mehta, both of which had long-standing relationships which paid off for their boutique employers.
I would be extremely thankful for any examples since it is kind of hard to find such specific info on google (I found a bit of information for Michael Klein and his relationship to Dow Chemical).
Thanks a lot!
