Excel Model Question
Excel question.
I have three scenarios for a model (cell $B$2 = 1,2 or 3). Each one has a different EBITDA output. I would like to have a quick summary of EBITDA and other numbers relevant to each scenario shown at the same time in a different tab than the dashboard. Does anybody know how I can make it, so if I change any of the inputs of the model my outputs for all three cases would change accordingly and show in the new tab at the same time next to each other.
Thanks in advance.
ok, this might be a silly suggestion. Say your EBITDA numbers are in tab 1, cells b1, b2, b3. you want them to show in tab 2 and 3. can't you go to tab 2, click on a cell and write =(click on cell on tab 1) [i.e. =("tab 1", b1)] and repeat this for the other two options in different cells on tab 2. repeat process for other tabs. am i misreading/oversimplifying your question?

=CHOOSE
I am not sure if I expressed myself very clearly. My problem is how would I show the outputs for scenario 2 (all outputs from scenario 1,2 and 3 are situated in one cell which changes when $b$2 changes), when cell $b$2=1 (scenario 1). I don't think you can do that with =choose as the ind_num is either 1,2,or 3 and wouldn't pull the right values at the same time. I need to take a better look at what beef suggested, but for now it doesn't look like it's working. Any other suggestions ?
Can't you set up a 1-way data table? Your column input will be the number of your scenario (1,2, or 3), your row input will be empty when setting up the table but you will list of your desired outputs in the first row. This will give you an overview of all your outputs with one output per each scenario.
Remember that you'll have to put this table on the same tab as your assumptions, otherwise your data table won't work. Alternatively, you can put all the relevant assumptions on a different tab and link your assumptions tab to this.
sensitivity table with the input being the scenario
Actually I just came back to it and figured it out. I came to post my solution and saw that the last couple of posters already had it - a 1 way data/sensitivity table works. It is just that you cannot break the entirety of the table in order to format it the way you would like and as fedor said - has to be in the same tab. I will just have to link.
I don't follow your formatting point... format any way you'd like. As for it being on the same tab...yes, that's true.
