Exceptional Personal Investor Wants to go Professional
My personal trading account:
2012: net capital gain was $39,947.11 in short-term transactions using around $60,000.
2014: net capital gain was $79,870.28 with a cost of $74,034.90 based on a long-term hold initiated in 2012. I simply held my position in 2013 without buying or selling.
2015: net capital gain was a little more than $420,000 using around $150,000 to start.
I went into contract to purchase another apartment late last year and have been in cash since that time.
Always interested in trading I read the Wall Street Journal from a young age, won a couple portfolio management competitions in school, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration concentrating in finance and minoring in economics from a college considered more selective and mildly challenging to get in. My work experience has mostly been in financial operations.
With my extremely successful trading track record -- which of course can be proven through my broker and tax statements -- what’s the best way I can begin to try to get a career managing others’ money and taking a performance fee?
Thanks for your time and consideration. I appreciate all your knowledge and advice.
