Exit Opps from a Local Boutique after 1 Yr
Hello all,
It's that time of the year when we are all starting looking at exit opps. So here is my background:
- Almost one year at a regional boutique -- pretty well known in the area
- Already closed a few deals ($30mm - $400mm in value/industrials)
- Broke into ib from a fairly large asset manager (also about 1 year on the job)
- Had some ib internships during senior year (boutiques as well)
- Non-ivy target background
- Are PE or VC opps either in SF or NYC / corp. dev. / start-ups possible at this point?
- What compensation should I target? My current comp is fairly high for a regional boutique.
- How difficult is it to transition to NYC/SF from a regional boutique?
Any input will be super helpful!
