Exit Opps - M&A in Paris, France

The title really says it all.

I am a french student in a semi-target school in London. I would like to eventually go back to France.

Assuming that I make it to FT analyst in one of the dominant players (MS, Roth etc.) what can I expect in terms of exit opps (particularly interested in PE).

Would I be better off staying in the UK if im interested in distressed debt?

If you make it to a BB/EB in Paris, you can exit to PE, HFs, CorpDev etc, just like in London.

Note that the Distressed Debt market in Paris is relatively small if not non-exitent as the number of french distressed debt opportunities are relatively small, and that France is a jurisdiction that tends to be unfriendly with vulture HFs, so would say that you'd be better off in the UK, but you want to go back to Paris at some point...
