Sounds like the fastest way to getting access to a yacht is to marry her.

You mean ride on the yacht to the middle of the sea and be dumped overboard tied to an anchor.

OP - i suppose if you are a sociopath and strictly using the situation for career gains, can emotionally compartmentalize, and are very good at seducing women, then sure, go ahead. However, if the relationship goes sour, this MD may very well blackball you from the industry for a variety of reasons, and you will have very little if any recourse. What if his daughter says "this creepy guy was hitting on me...eeww"...etc...much more downside than upside (unless you won't be able to succeed on your own merits...in which case...go for it).

just google it...you're welcome

You only date the MDs daughter if you think you want to marry her. You have a limited time to date her as you basically have to propose before he chops off your balls, figuratively at work and literally as a father. If you can survive and endure these trials, you may have her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, when you get engaged and realize she is a crazy insane person, you better start looking for jobs before you break it off.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I made this mistake once. It's really situational as to whether this is a good idea. It's a very risky strategy, so I think it goes without saying that you should be careful. No one is going to be able to tell you whether you can pull this off. Even if you feel confident that you're good enough in relationships that it won't end badly, you don't fully control how the relationship may end.

Maybe it doesn't end and you get married, in which case, the MD will probably have your back and support your promotions on a regular schedule. But the likelier situation is that it doesn't end in marriage, in which case, you've got to thread the needle on the break-up. While it's doable, it's sort of like dating your best friend's sister. You really need to talk to your friend before you start trying to date his sister. It's a courtesy that should be extended to your boss as well.

In my case, I was introduced to my boss's daughter at a charity event by my boss. He wanted me to date his daughter. He later explained that he could either have no say whom his daughter dated or he could try to proactively help pick someone he liked. His daughter was objectively hot, but turned out to be bat-shit crazy. This presented loads of problems at work, and I eventually left the firm.

If you just want to date a rich girl, there are thousands of them that aren't your boss's daughter. If you just want to bang her once because it's naughty, maybe just go jerk off a few times and get that shit out of your head. I put less than a 10% chance this works out well for you, so just make sure the expected payout is worth it.

Never dated the daughter of a guy that I worked for, but did date the MD's daughter.

While brotherbear has some good points, I'm going to play devil's advocate. My experience with dating the MD's daughter was very positive:

  1. Really nice guy - always fun to hang/cut loose with her family.
  2. Got to tag along on some cool vacations/etc.
  3. He worked a lot, and so the women in his life (my gf, her mother) were always very understanding of the sacrifices one needs to make in pursuit of professional success. My gf would get frustrated when I'd be working 70-80/week for months on end, but she never, ever held it against me because her role model of a male figure had made that part of his life too.
  4. He tried to open professional doors for me (though that didn't pan out).
