Expected Comp
Hey monkeys, I was wondering what one can expect to earn out of college as a ER first year associate at a top 5 ranked BB. I saw the few threads about compensation but I found them to be highly variable and also a lot of focus on MM ER firms. I'd love to hear specifically about the higher rated BB firms.
Previously I assumed that $100,000-110,000 is a realistic range. Am I about right?
This was asked like 4 or 5 posts below this one. Roughly $80k base + $10-30k bonus is about right. Depends on the bank.
Definitely depends on the bank - first year associates at the shop (top 5 BB) I'm at get ~$90K-$100K base + ~$10K-$25K bonus
Any idea what the pay at some of the larger mutual funds (fidelity/t. rowe/mfs) would look like?
$75k-$85k base and $10k-$25k bonus depending on bank and location is typical. So you can expect $85k-$110k all-in, excluding signing bonus. Most people settle in that $90k-$100k range. Some go as high as $125k.
I would expect $100k-$110k if you are out of NYC.
you'll almost certainly get an 85k base + 10k signing bonus + additional bonus if entering an analyst program I'd say 105-110 is probably a good estimate to go by
sorry just realized this said associate - not sure tbh but more than what I just said for analysts
Why associate? I assume new graduates are supposed to start with analyst positions.
Yeah its kind of flipped, so you start off as an associate and then move up to analyst level
1st yr should expect 85k, 10k signing bonus, 10-15k end of year bonus.
2nd and 3rd year, base should go up by 5k in each year, and bonus increase 10k a year (can be 2-3x more depending on sector/performance)
