Export Credit Agency Group @ Citi
I have a Project Finance background and have worked on both the lending side and financial advisory side. I met with like 6 people at Citi on one single day for an AVP position in the Export Credit Agency Group. I know what exactly ECAs do (i.e. U.S Exim Bank), and I worked with ECAs in a couple deals before. This group at Citi from what I know is more like a regional coverage group.
Having spoke with the people there during the interview, I learned that this group doesn't handle the underwriting/execution part of a deal because Citi has the Project Finance group to do it, meaning that I won't get many (or any) opportunities to do PF cash-flow financial model, which is something that I really enjoy.
My question is does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this group? Though this position can definitely help me to see the other aspects of Project Finance, I'm afraid that I won't be able to return to do execution and underwriting in the future. What do you all think? I would appreciate if you could shed me some light
