Extra Semester of School after Summer Internship
Hi everyone. Apologies in advance if there has already been a discussion regarding a similar topic, however, I haven’t seen anything of the sort.
To give a bit of background, I’m a junior who has already signed for a 2020 SA position. With that being said, I just transferred to the school I currently attend and after many tries of appealing credits, my current school has not approved two classes from my old school for transfer credit. So, I may have to take an extra semester and graduate in December 2021 instead of May 2021.
I’m still appealing the credits, however, if they are not approved would I still be able to obtain a return offer with the bank I’m working at this Summer and just start later? If not, I’m curious as to what my options could be. Thanks and I look forward to hearing some of your answers.
Tbh you should probably just take the Dec grad date and just recruit for summer positions since it starts soon. I know a lot of people that purposely graduate late so they recruit for better positions and take the return from the better spot.
So in other words you think it would be wise to try to obtain a SA position for 2021 as well, then graduate in Decemeber?
Yea - if you go to a target you might have more time to try to get your credits but you don't want to be in a spot where you grad in Dec and don't have anything locked down for the next summer.
Hey! I was wondering what you ended up doing and if you got a return offer, then how did you handle that?
