F100 corp. finance to IB
Hi all,
I have accepted an entry-level corp. financial analyst position with a F100 company starting in June 2020 and want to make the switch to IB as quick as possible. I am well aware that the typical route is usually 2+ yrs corp fin. > MBA > IB and... however, I know there are ways around this. I know a few individuals who were offered their IB analyst position at elite boutiques after just 1 year of corp. finance/risk & compliance work with no MBA.
With respect to recruiting starting a year before offers go out, what is the strategy behind this?
Is it possible to begin networking and recruiting for the 2021 class even though we have not even started our corp. finance entry-level positions yet?
Can you enter as an analyst 2 years out of school?
Would love to get this community's thoughts. Thanks.
