Face creams to lift sagging skin/eyes?

I'm 24 and live a relatively healthy lifestyle, but I feel like my face and eyes are just starting to droop and sag and I look sleepy and sad. Also metabolism is starting to taper off even though I'm active. I'm not working like crazy so I know it's not because I'm exerting myself too much. Any product recommendations to get that youthful glow back? Don't mind spending some money for some good clean moisturizers. I currently use Cerave facial cleanser and La Mer hydrating lotion/creams (total scam btw). Also are there any things you guys have learned to avoid to help with this (avoiding scorching hot showers/saunas and those microbead scrubs has definitely helped me personally since I have sensitive skin)

I put Nivea under the eyes and sometimes I use my gfs eye cooling mask. the green ones.

for general face application and cleansing I use the active charcoal face wash gel

also: enough sleep, enough water, enough fresh air, enough exercise, reduce alcohol intake as much as possible.

Good topic.  Guys do not always like to talk about this stuff.  I am always on the lookout for some good moisturizers or other things that could improve the skin.  I do not have any answers for eye issues, as that has not been my focus. A lot of these issues have to be genetic.  I have lines on my forehead that I have had since a teenager that will not go away.  I have tried retinol cream and I think helps a little but not that much.  I think that retinol is also used for under the eyes .

Prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you're white wear sunblock 365 days a year. At least SPF 15 but ideally 30+. For whites, sun tanning is poison for aging. If you desperately want a tan, get a good rub-on tan.

That is good advice about avoiding the sun.  I once worked with a older lady who sun tanned all the time. She looked like a shriveled prune.

Patrick Bateman quote in 3 … 2 … 1 …

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Idk for eyes specifically, but I'll just give some overall skin advice:

Biggest things that'll affect your skin are nutrition and sleep. The creams are like bandaids or enhance but the core comes from your diet and rest.

-I know it's hard in finance, but try to get 7-8 hours a night. This will help your skin, muscle growth, fat loss, brain power, everything.

-Cut seed oils and limit processed sugar. I've seen so many people's face clear up to the clearest it's ever been by doing this.

-I think I read somewhere that avocados are good for your skin too and maybe sweet potatoes? Either way, both of those are healthy (in moderation) and are beneficial to your diet, so no harm in adding them.

-Increase your water intake. This will help your skin, fat loss, energy levels, etc. I aim for 3-4 liters a day. Just get a big hydroflask or something a chug 1/3 of it every hour. Only con is you have to pee a lot, but on the bright side it gets you up and moving every hour too.

-Workout. by this I mean anything that gets you sweating for 15 min+ a day. This will get rid of toxins in your skin/body and help clear it up. Sauna would help for this too.

-Try to limit your time in a hot shower, the hot water dries out your skin. I personally love hot showers so I start out hot and then end it with cold.

I think the best thing you can do for your health, whether it's appearance or disease, is to look inward first. Western medicine likes to throw pills and creams at the problem instead of making lifestyle changes. Everyone's genetics are different, and there's not a one size fits all approach. But the things I mentioned above should help everyone. Extra things like specific foods or how sensitive your body is to sleep, etc. are things you have to experiment with to optimize for yourself.

Btw who here as seen the pics of Tom Brady when he entered the NFL vs now? He honestly looks like he aged backwards. It's crazy. I honestly think this is due to him getting really strict with his diet/health. Of course you don't have to go as extreme as Tom, but I think it serves as evidence that these changes are worthwhile.

Other things you can do:

-Wash your face with a cleanser in the morning

-Use a moisturizer on your face

-Sunscreen on face. This one is starting to become controversial I think as there are people that are saying sunscreen causes cancer. There are chemicals in a lot of sunscreens (at least in the US) that are linked to cancer, so I would just check the ingredient list before using. There's people that say they haven't gotten a sunburn since completely ridding themselves of seed oils. It's anecdotal, so idk. If you burn your face it will cause it to age so be careful.

Just use retinol bruh. And hyaluronic acid. Sometimes boil water and put a droplet of pure mint extract into a bowl and pour boil water there. Put a towel over your face so your face sweat and open pores. Then wash your face. Vitamin C and caffeine also helps in brightening and waking your dull skin up. Just follow Bateman's skincare routine.

In the morning if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1,000 now

Tretinoin could be used for 'anti-aging' and reducing wrinkles, but it's usually prescription only(check your country regulation) and will dry your skin out. It's primarily used for acne, so getting a prescription from an actual derm might be hard... There's Curology and similar companies that can gives you a custom prescription, tho. Idk if we're allowed to link someone else's blog here, but look up 'Retin-A Update ~ A Result on 51 Year Old Skin After 9 Months' on Hot and Flashy blog.

It's usually prescribed for severe acne and have a drying effect, so if you do end up using tret then please use a hydrating moisturiser. Start with once a week application and build up to however many applications/week your skin can tolerates(some can use tret daily, others only once a week(or even less)). Also use SPF30+ sunscreen diligently, and avoid your eyes as it can dries it out.

You might also want to try retinol serums.. It's a weaker form of Vitamin A(tret), though the effects will be even slower but you might avoid the irritation :)

Still, nothing can beats botox. But it might be worthwhile to try tret first if you're hesitant of botox and its upkeep.

ETA: Oh.. I just saw how old this thread is.. sorry! was browsing recent threads and didn't realised it :c

I'm actually currently using la mer (for 4 months) because it's the most expensive and I figured at a minimum it won't be bad until I figure out what's best for me. Their treatment lotion is amazing and is definitely something that I'm gonna keep in my rotation. It's really light but keeps my face feeling hydrated. The moisturizing cream is overhyped and makes my face feel oily and the hydrating serum did nothing. The 5 oz treatment lotion is $160 but definitely worth it

If your skin is already sagging, no amount of cream will lift it back up. You need a dermatologist/plastic surgeon/nurse esthetician to help you. Botox and fillers are going to be your best friend. Even with healthy diet and lifestyle, you can't beat your genetics.

For general skincare, I really like Paula's Choice products and Neutrogena sunscreen.

Hey bro I got into moisturizing around a year ago. Face-wise, I use Olay Regenerist around 3-4 days a week at night. Other days I use Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream (purple label).

I tan outside around 20-30 minutes a day depending on temperature and UV index. I’ve found this to be ideal for clearing up my skin. Eating clean also helps a ton. If I’ve been outside on the far end of that spectrum, I’ve found the retinol creams to burn corners of my skin by my eye. Just a bit red, but can tell it’s irritated. That’s when I use the Cerave.

In the mornings, I use some random retinol product I got at Publix. Very light and liquid it’s more of a serum than cream. I won’t use it if I know I’ll be outside a long time that day.

Also noticed the bags under the eyes, especially on 70 hour weeks. I’m cutting and have noticed the weight loss definitely helps, but yeah lmk if you find a good OTC cream for the eyes.

Last note: was recently reading about Le Mer and that’s absurd how expensive it is lol
