same here, my firm has replaced bloomberg with ciq for like a year or so, i personally like FactSet more though, cuz I think it does look more user friendly lol
Go for CapIQ + Thomson Reuters + Mergermarket
Exactly what my old shop had, but it still isn't Bloomberg
I am a CIQ person myself, but I think it depends on whichever you have had the most experience with in the past. Generally speaking, they are the same, but learning new excel plugins would be a huge pain.
Depends on your needs. Factset has a friendly UI and can pull CapitalIQ data.
But, CapIQ has the best fundamental data and is the only thing I really trust on equities.
Who cares - they both suck
IMHO, Factset is much much better then Bloomberg for IB. Only my friends, who are FX traders like bloomberg for their chats. CapIQ sucks.
