feedback
I am choosing between the two MBA programs...I was hoping to get some feedback from those that are enrolled in or graduated from either of these schools? My main purpose of the MBA program is to transition from commercial banking into IB,IM, or maybe even corp dev. Definitely would like to stay local in Southern California
Though I know rankings are very important, I'd like to know how these two programs help candidates in terms of career services, networking opportunities, and just overall experience...and the possibilities of transitioning given the available resources. Thanks in advance.
pretty sure u already know the answer!
I've looked on linkedin before and I'd feel confident in saying there are as many or more Marshall people at PIMCO vs. Merage
wtf is merage?
marshall
usc.
USC is located too close to OC to have ANY disadvantage over Merage. Except for maybe cost, but you get what you pay for.
USC
you notice a lot of ballers in southern cal have USC alumni plates on their bentleys and porsches
Reggie Bush doesn't count
thx for the feedback....i do live in OC, and the observations made are definitely the same on my end. I know marshall's considered a semi-target on this forum, but it seems like the trojan network is pretty prevalent in socal. Any idea of what firms participate in OCR?
Total effort to find this info: 4 seconds

I've seen Bush's blacked out rover around; has Platinum Motorsports plate
happypantsmcgee thanks for the 4 seconds, I'm sure other members reading will appreciate the OCR list for Marshall thanks for posting the link...kmzz thank you very much for the useful information, for people not in the industry yet, it's not as familiar to filter out the finance/ investment firms immediately, I appreciate it!
In terms of OCR, and the list the happypantsmcgee posted... is it typically schoolwide OCR events for all programs and levels, or are they split by undergrad and MBA levels?
It's split by grad/undergrad and the School of Business will have its own OCR independent from the other schools. Usually, you can only resume drop/apply for the jobs listed on the recruitment site for your individual school.
For UG USC is definitely a target. Don't think MBAs would be much different.
