Kings isn't bad, not known for any particular area of expertise. Lancaster is more of a science uni, but also pretty decent. Edinburgh is good as well. All 3 are in the top tier of UK unis but second tier to the top 5 or so of oxbridge, LSE, Warwick and Imperial if you get what I mean.
then take Ldn or Edinburgh as they are a bit more vibrant and will stand out more than Lancaster on your CV.
Thanks panadaexp & LdnMezz.
It doesnt matter
Would you care to elaborate on that?
No, theres too many choices, narrow it down so I can search each of their websites and check their admission requirements and GMAT scores then I will get back to you.
Appreciate the effort, laxn103, but I'm looking for inputs from people who are familiar with these schools.
Btw, it's for undergraduate study abroad.
All your choices are decent, interesting, and noteworthy. I'm not going to try to narrow them down.
I PM'ed you with my information and opinions.
Best of luck.
Excellent input, cackmenimble! Thanks once again. I've replied your PM. :)
I'm just about to begin a masters in University College Cork, Ireland. Voted best Irish university for the last three years. UCD is decent but the cost of living in Dublin is ridiculous. Cork is far better value for money
For study abroad? It doesn't matter THAT much.
But in the UK, the best is Edinburgh, followed by KCL. Edinburgh is definitely the best university in Scotland (St Andrews PR machine may say otherwise but it's not true).
do you have london school of economics as a choice?
No, the only choices I have are the ones listed here.
if not you should look into it, i heard it's ultra competitive.
Thanks fp175 & VolocityBoy.
All 3 UK unis are good, from what I hear Lancaster management tuition is high level. Since it doesn't make much of a difference, when looking at UK opt for KCL since it's in London (recruiters and lifestyle).
For UCD, I agree it's definitely not your top option. Prestige and exit opps in Ireland are for Trinity College, the rest is a level below.
I'm not familiar enough with the other unis to comment.
UCD Quinn Business School is THE leading business school in Ireland. Its a target school for Deloitte, societe generale, JP Morgan Chase & Co,Merrill Lynch & Co,Goldman Sachs etc. It was ranked in the top twenty of business schools by the financial times (ranked higher then Trinity btw). Also when you study business at UCD you have the option to go abroad for a semester at HEC, ranked as the #1 business school in Europe by the Financial Times and many other economic publications.
Cheers EuroMonkey.
