Feeling Cute, Might Quit My Job to work for the SBA

Just an FYI for the unemployed the SBA is hiring for some interim, 13 months max, FT positions. These look like solid gigs and may be a good foot in the door for a long term commercial lending roles at a commercial bank of varying sizes. You can you the commercial lending gig as a base for something else.

Here is the job Description for a basic 'entry' level: Gs9

This position is being filled in response to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
s a Loan Specialist (Commercial), GS-09, ($52k), you will perform the following duties:

Evaluates commercial loan requests which might contain limited information and investigates essential application characteristics to determine if the applicant business is eligible for the 7(a)/504 program (e.g., is the loan properly structured; meets collateral and other requirements; and includes all necessary conditions).
Assesses managements' experience and past performance to determine the potential for successful operation of the business.
Prepares reports on the merits of applicants' commercial loan request, addressing eligibility and overall credit quality.

If it weren't for my accrued vacation time for y eurotrip, I'd throw my hat into the ring too.

LMAO, with the way the federal government hires, it will take them 13 months to fill the position. The hiring process is so long and convoluted that I eventually gave up trying to get a federal job. And good luck getting anything if you aren't a military veteran or a racial minority, or you get extremely lucky.
