Fights at the Office
I was just reading about the charity Wall Street boxing match that was held a while and it had me wondering if real fights ever occur between coworkers? Obviously there can be a lot of tension/competition . Have you guys ever seen any good fights break out on the trading floor or in your office?
There are few people I would love to fight in my office. Too bad it will never happen..
We have had a few games of football between divisions. I have seen some old scores settled and some big ego's get their own back on these days.
:-)

Good one.
We had a fight on the trading floor once. It was awesome! Two FX spot traders. It was a long time coming, though. I had been instructed to take a wheel off of the chair of one of the traders involved. When the guy fell over, he got pissed off that the other trader was laughing at him (and just generally pissed that someone had removed one of the wheels on his rolling-chair).
There must have been 250 rubber-neckers. Best day ever.
And you actually took that wheel off of the chair? LOL
Semi-related question from someone not employed yet-- When you're employed FT, is there that One Person at your job who is absolutely annoying and deserves a right to the gut on a daily basis? This is how it was in virtually all my college classes-- that one guy who asked all the dumb questions, acted way too buddy-buddy with the prof, or generally got on everyone's nerves?
Great post.
Yes - there is. We have a third year analyst who I want to consistently stab in the neck, and then drop one of the printers on his head. Kiss ass, annoying as fuck, and basically the kid in class everyone wants to strangle/beat up and recess.
