Final Round candidate of Resume??
Ok, let's say you make it to a Superday at a BB, but you unfortunately DON'T get the offer. Are you guys putting this down on your resumes as a highlight?? Personally, I think its tacky as hell; I guess the old say "almost doesn't count" has some relevance here, but I just do not want to be at a disadvantage amongst my peers if everyone else is doing it.....any thoughts?
people actually put that on resumes?!
this is a joke, right? Why would you put that on your resume its just dumb. No bank wants another banks leftovers or rejects.
Definitely NO!
I did it!
I think you misunderstood someone who was trying to say that you can use it as leverage when you're interviewing with other banks by mentioning that you "also had a superday with another BB...". But OF COURSE you would not mention that you got a rejection from them already, OR you would NOT put it on your resume. I'm pretty sure that would be an automatic rejection and you wouldn't even get the first round invitation if you put that on your resume...
Yea, put it on your resume. Think about it this way: if you had 2 resumes in front of you, otherwise identical, would you rather have the candidate who was granted an interview by another BB or the one who was not?
(I figure if I can encourage this practice enough, I'll be sure to get interviews this Fall)
Seems like an ideal strategy, aside from the fact that it communicates to employers you're a candidate who initially looks nice on paper, but could very well fail to impress folks on superday. Not really the greatest prospect for efficient returns on recruiting / interviewing time from the bank's perspective.
