Finally Quit

That's it really - this forum was really important to me in school so felt compelled to make a post. Couldn't take COVID or the job anymore, so I'm dipping out of industry completely. Good luck everyone sticking it out, it's just not for me.

Please provide more details. I'm also on the verge of quitting

Well done.

I applaud the courage of anyone who sees their work/life balance deteriorating and deciding to pivot.

I myself recently switched from IB to CB and should have done this a LONG time ago. CB is still demanding, but I've gained on average 20-30 hrs of my life back while only slightly discounting my overall pay.

Glad to see you have the courage. There are many nights I'd sit in front of my desktop and think about days and nights I had in college trying to break in this industry, only reason why I haven't quit

Just want to say... good for you for recognizing it wasn't something you liked and doing something about it. Far too many people stick it out for the wrong reasons and continue being more and more miserable. It takes a lot to step back and say this isn't for you. Hopefully you find something you're more passionate about and it leads to something more rewarding. Be well
