Finance Professionals Are Strangely Extremely Aware and Philosophical

I just wanted to compliment some of you guys after reading a lot of your posts here on WSO. I’m an undergrad deciding on a path, stumbled across WSO, and started reading threads. A lot of you have the ability to always see the bigger picture on a philosophical level, something people in other professions lack from what I’ve seen when I’m asking for advice. They say things like “just follow your passion” but you guys say things more like “work a career you don’t mind working for the pay and then work on your passion to the side.” It’s ironic how you guys are so intuitive and realistic but at the same time are called very bad people by the majority of the public.
