Financial Analyst Interview

Hi, I have a first round interview with an Asset Management firm for the position of "financial analyst." Can someone with experience make some suggestions on what I should focus on regarding my preparation? I appreciate any input/advice. Thank you!

You need to be specific about what type of company and the specific role, the FA title is used to describe everything under the sun in Corp. Fin. Per my experience, I'm fresh off 2 phone interviews and a superday last week for an F500 role and it was as every bit as technical as my IBD interviews, including my superday with HL. Not sure if it was because of the company or specifically the managers, but I got asked everything you normally get asked in an IBD role with more focus on accounting issues though.

I'll spend more time on describing my interview, but again you have to specify and I don't want to waste time if my experience was not relevant to yours.

The FA position (full-time) is for a mid-size AM firm (AUM $12B) specializing in the management of value portfolios throughout the market cap spectrum. A company rep called me yesterday afternoon and provided very little information....He just told me that my resume was 1 of about 10 or so, it is a FA position, and that I needed to be at their office at 9 30 this Thursday. I appreciate your willingness to help and look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks.
