Financial Modeling & Accounting
Hi guys!
I wanted to create (another) post about modeling guides. I am currently a physics student and became interested in starting a career in the field of finance.
Now since I only have very limited education on accounting & finance I am searching for some self taught resources to get started. I have searched this forum about modeling guides and have collected a bunch of information, however it appears to me that threads only talk about the modeling part. Since I am missing some corporate finance and accounting education I am looking for something that takes me through the whole thing. I dont want any shortcuts and am willing to invest lots of time, but I want to make sure that I really understand the content and will not only be able to recreate some model that is shown in the courses.
After doing some research I found various possible courses, including wallstreetprep, breaking into wallstreet and the corporate finance institute (which has pretty broad content but is not that popular on this board it seems?). I now wanted to ask if you have any recommandations for me, or can tell me if wallstreetprep for example also dives into the basic theories enough one needs to know? Breaking into wallstreet also seems well rounded with all their case studies, but since all these courses are kind of costy I wanted to get in some feedback before investing.
Thank you very much!
