Financial Rep or college fund caller

Hello Monkeys,

Quick question as of right now (without further job inquires) I am looking at 2 options:

1) Financial Representative at a good firm in Boston
2) College fund caller

So the breakdown is:

1) - Will put relevant finance experience on my resume
- Might earn some good salesmanship skills which is the whole reason for considering the offer

2) - Get in touch with alumni, target IB's, PE, HF people and etc
- Convinience (I don't have a car) so it would be easier to work on campus

The similarity is that both are pretty much salesman positions and I want to do them to add to my resume, my main goal is to land a summer analyst position at an IB or PE.. Would like HF but ho-hum...

Anyways these are my options now I haven't started pounding the pavement, I will start calling boutique banks only difficulty is the car factor, although it obv would be better to have a boutique bank on my resume...

I'll probably land a banking gig this winter in a French or Turkish IB..

I'm pretty sure I can land some gig for the fall at a boutique IB (good at cold call and walk-ins)

SOOOOOO what do you guys think I should do?

Cheers,

-Soules
