Financially living in the city as an intern
Hi-
I am an incoming intern this summer at BB this summer doing corporate banking. Compensation is prorated off of $85,000 which comes out to around 40.81 an hour. Living in the city is quite expensive and most options I have seen are around $1800-2000. I found a relatively nice airbnb for 16300 which comes out to 5400/ per person from June 1st to August 26th. After rent, how much would you anticipate spending. I would like to save as possible. Can anyone explain to me how they went about this during their summer internship? I just dont want to dip into savings during this summer.
Bro 5400 per person… please do not do that on 85k prorated
That's for 3 months which is not bad depending on location / proximity to office / quality of the AirBnB
I know that it is a significant portion of my income but its for 3 months. NYU dorms are more expensive in some options. I was thinking about getting the single with A/C which is 1950/month. That doesn’t even come with a kitchen so I would have to eat out a lot. I figured this would be a better option. Also although I may not be able to save that much, I feel like it would be better to experience the city this way.
