Finding opportunities in Denver?
Would love to eventually make the move to Denver, CO after ideally a couple of years in IB. I've seen some past threads about some good PE shops around Denver but really wondering how hard it is to break in since it doesn't look like there's an abundance of places to work. Would it be pretty difficult getting looks if you aren't coming from a BB, EB, or upper-MM?
bump
KSL is a large hospitality focused fund, Rubicon Technology Partners is a large tech fund, other good smaller names are Mountaingate, Platte River (Industrials), Excellere, Revelstoke (healthcare), Fruition Partners, Copley Equity Partners, Bow River
Thanks for the names. Is a BB name necessary to break into these places?
KSL I would say is the toughest to break into and BB or comparable experience is more “necessary” than the others. Besides that, no. I would say ties to Denver would be a bigger help. As always, crushing your interviews, being personable, and having good deal experience means more than any other factor.
