First Derivatives vs Thomson Reuters
I interned last summer at Thomson Reuters on their Pricing team working with structured credit.
I didn't get any jobs that I wanted this year, so this is what I have to choose between.
I dont know much about First Derivatives because it is an Irish/British firm, so I was wondering if anyone here knew more about it. It would be a data analysis position. Otherwise, I can go back to Reuters to the pricing team. I'm not sure if getting that rigorous data analysis training with FD would either look good to future finance companies, or bad. I know that Reuters has a good reputation on the street.
What do you guys think? Ultimately... I would have liked to have worked in asset/investment management, doing portfolio construction.
