First Practice Test Scores in Quant section?

Hello! I took a practice test recently and utterly failed. I forgot several math concepts and how to use my calculator - I didn't even what a reciprical was. It seems like I'm going to have to start from sratch.

Nothing looked foreign.  Did you guys mostly remember the math concepts involved or did you just re-learn them from studying?

it takes alot of people many many months to do well on the GMAT. The way I see it is if there are people from India, and other random countries who have english as a second language, and can still get 740 scores, we can too. Keep ur chin up

i'm giving myself 11 months. Do you know if the books explain the concepts or if i'lll eed to figure them out myself? the practice test didn't go over the questions or explanations.

I'm reading the prep book cover to cover and doing every question.

Went from a Q30 to a Q50 in 2 months. The first time I took it I thought to myself I would know how to do it if I learned the tricks and grinded a bunch of problems. Did just that and I saw my score linearly improve with each practice exam. Would recommend TTP and GmatClub tests (save the latter for a few weeks before your real exam).

I found quant on GMAT very hard to get good add. I focused hard on it but didn’t see a ton of improvement. Something about the way it tests. I got ~75 percentile GMAT quant and 95 percentile on GRE quant (nearly no prep). My verbals were basically the inverse: 98 percentile on GMAT verbal but 80 percentile on GRE verbal. Just find the rest that fits you best. They’re so different.
