Fiscal Cliff Affecting any of you Personally?
Of course until Jan 1st, all that's going to be talked about is the Fiscal Cliff and getting a deal done and all the implications for the economy/possible recession. The media seems to focus on the consequences for tax revenues, but it seems that the Fiscal Cliff is going to affect people of all backgrounds (rich, middle class, anyone with a portfolio, assets).
With that being said, how is the Fiscal Cliff affecting any of you personally? Are you of you guys rushing to beat the Capital Gains Tax or have relatives that have transferred assets to you by trying to beat the Estate Tax, etc...?
I, for one, am getting raped at work due to deals that need to close by YE to avoid the capital gains tax increases and carried interest tax implications. And yes, taxes probably increasing next year as well. Severely disliking all this pandering over raising revenues at the moment. We have a fucking spending problem you idiotsssssssssss
A pretty good clue that you have no idea what you're talking about regarding U.S. fiscal health lol. Sorry, just had to say.
Ohh stfu
What I meant by this is not that we idon't[/i] have a spending problem, but rather that lack of revenue is as equally disastrous in the equation that caused our debt to pile up. You were implying that the whole "raising revenue" was unneeded, which is false.
guarantees that work is going to be super entertaining/education for the foreseeable future
^^^ Don't start with that shit.
Only an idiot would get a higher paying job (chase money in a never-ending rat race) to pay his credit card debt instead of ceasing to buy shit he doesn't need. Why is that so hard for liberals to understand? Oh yea, because they are the ones getting shit they don't need for FREE.
True story: So my friend works at Coldstone, and today this lady tries to buy one of those $5 ice cream cones with her food stamps. Yeah, let's raise taxes to pay for the fucking idiots in society.
BTbanker, I can one-up you on the Coldstone story.....
There was this 7-11 near where I used to live that was on the border between where I lived and the ghetto, but I still went there because it was convenient after getting off the freeway. I cannot tell you how many times I would go in to buy something and the line would be help up because multiple people were having to make two transactions. One to use their food stamp card for doughnuts, chips, and soda. The other to use cash to buy malt liquor, lottery tickets, and zig-zags.
Welcome to Obama's America....
