If your personality type ends with an NTJ, you are probably a good fit for trading. If not, maybe you're not a good fit.
funny you say this. I got ENTJ and I am going into Trading
What makes you say that, IP? I've taken a couple of these tests and have never seen "trader" as one of the INTJ careers.
Bottom line is that the best personality type for a trader is a rationalist (NT) who can be decisive (J). The most profitable traders I know are INTJs. The "I" simply means that you pause to think things over a little more before you act. ENTJs do well, too. Same with, though to a lesser extent, ISTJs/ESTJs.
I got ENTJ. I have no idea what it's supposed to mean besides the articles/wiki on them.
i took this thing like 3 yrs ago: INTJ
I'm ISTP apparently. So the description says "This personality type has the fastest eye-hand coordination of all the types so it is common to see them using this skill. They may use their analytical skills to become a banker, purchasing agent, or securities analyst."

Hey guys,
Getting flown out to Flow Traders soon. Am doing a 4-hour test in the morning, followed by multiple interviews. I'm not necessarily worried about the interviews, but am wondering if anyone has any idea what to expect on such a long test? Any insight on the process at all?
Thanks again everyone
I am getting calls from a recruiter about this company, is it a legit company or should I not even waste my time? Anybody have any experience about this or have any feedback about this company because there's not much out there to figure this out...thanks guys

has anyone on here taken the psychological/intelligence test with Flow Traders?
Hmm what is a finance career for INTPs?
i'm also interested in knowing.
hope you speak dutch, otherwise its a standard test that you find on the net.
I did the test at Flow traders in Amsterdam like 2 months ago. It were 3 x 25 numerical questions 25 easy questions like 200-92 25 hard decimals questions 25 large number questions.
You had 10 minutes.
I also made a intelligence test, but is not so easy to explain what content was.
i practiced a lot on calculationrankings.co, there you can train with time pressure and have some tests where the decimal questions resemble the questions of the numerical test of Flow.
Gl Chip
Hi Chip, did you get to work with Flow Traders? I'm currently applying for them now in their Singapore office. How long did it take you to prepare for their exam?
Hi Chip, although it is difficult to explain the content of VIT test, could you give an example or a website that I can exercise? Thank you soooooo much!

Anyone have experience with Flow Traders' IQ test? It is a "VIT Intelligence Test" administered by HFMTalentIndex, taken over a webcam to ensure there's no cheating. It was part 3 of the interview process, the second and final test I believe. I just finished it today and was really surprised by how difficult it was compared to the "sample test" on the hfmtalentindex website, which I easily got a perfect score on. I did not finish the test; I had to skip quite a few questions, maybe 15-20 out of 68. I was encouraged to skip answers if I was not sure, so I'm confident I got at least an 80% on the questions I did answer. Has anyone else taken this specific test? Can you tell me how you did on the test, and whether you moved on or not? Thanks.
Hi Mate,
Taking the test this week. Could you please elaborate on the questions... what sort were they?
eg. 100-92 or 3423 or 0.00534 etc. any help would be appreciated.
Heyyyy I'm gonna do the VIT test in 2 weeks? Could you tell me a bit more what is like? what type of question and the time limit? Any advice on how to prepare for it? many many many thanks!!
hey, how did your VIT test go? did you get to work for Flow? Can you please elaborate on what kind of questions were asked in VIT and was there any time limit. Please reply asap my test is in a week Thanks in advance
Hey !! I have my IQ and Personality test coming up , for Flow Traders. Can you guide me as to what should i expect and how should i prepare ??
Thanks
Hey pal,
If you have gone through the test, would you mind sharing some info about it? What do they allow you to use (pen and paper?)? What types of questions did you get? etc.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!
It's pretty simple. The IQ test has questions from 4 topics :- 1. Sequence and Series:- You've to have a knack for numbers , it's a bit difficult if you're not very good in this area. 2. Calculations :- Basic calculations , don't let the big numbers bog you down , they generally cancel down into simple answers. 3. Syllogisms :- Eg. Left handed are Smart. Smart people like trading. then you'll have 4 options . I hope you get what i am trying to convey. 4. Analogies :- School is to Fish _____ is to owls . Pretty straightforward stuff.
There were total of 68 ques in 30 min for IQ test. All in all it's not that tough. 4 of us sat for it , all of us cleared it. Tip:- Don't get stuck on one question. It's fine to leave it for now. For the Personality test just be yourself and try to be as consistent as possible with your answers. There are 192 questions in 30 mins. All The Best !! :)
man i have my IQ test coming up, I cleared the mental math with 64%. How did you do on the logic test? any pointers? thanks man
