Welp. You started a blog that's step one. Who is your target audience?

If you want to get WSO people interested you'll have to do more than just post about the basics of finance. Challenge yourself to write and post every other day. Give your own thoughts on markets, trends, investing ideas etc. Set yourself apart by giving us your insight, theses, investment ideas, commentary etc.

People don't go to blogs to learn the definition of entrepreneurship. That's what google is for!

"Out the garage is how you end up in charge It's how you end up in penthouses, end up in cars, it's how you Start off a curb servin', end up a boss"

Thank you for your valuable feedback. As I have started my journey in blogging, I will try to incorporate your comments into my blog. My focus is more on Value investing, cases studies on it, and the practical application of the same. In this process I hope WSO people can be good critic for my blog.

If you are looking for mentorship, why are you writing a blog? Blogs of any value, would be written by someone with experience. You might want to reach out to an experienced person who has a blog and ask to contribute to it.

Thanks for your comments. I am new in this blogging experience and a great mentor can highly help me in the content of the blog in terms of accuracy and knowledge. In this scenario I think people here in WSO can be of great help to me and who knows I might get a great mentor as well here. Currently I am following the books and lecture videos of Professor Bruce Greenwald. His writings and his video lectures are really helping me understand Value investing. I also hope this blog will be good for connecting with people interested in Value investing.

I admire the initiative, but if your goal is to "share your knowledge" you might want to make sure that your posts are carefully researched and based on a sound understanding of the concepts you write about. For example, economics at its core has nothing to do with the "the management of money." However, even if the blog in its current form wouldn't help anyone browsing these forums, I do think it could be valuable as a way to track your own learning.

I am thinking of long term here. Yes this blog will help me to track my learnings and also create a community of value investors. This could be then a win win situation. As you said, I will also do in depth research of the topic and subject that I will share in the future on this blog. Thanks for the advice.

Follow my blog mint.finance.blog I have started this blog to share my knowledge of finance

Maybe you should become an expert first, and then share your knowledge.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

I am in the process of learning and want to share my views, thoughts and knowledge in a simple and easy to understand language. This blog will help me to keep track of my learnings and at the same time learn something from others from their feedback and comments to solidify my understanding.

To be honest, if the goal is to learn, I think you'd be better served finding a forum geared toward finance/economics beginners and start reading and posting there. Even better, find a group of like-minded people and come together every week to go over reading notes, problem sets, etc. You'll get much better engagement that way, as your blog will likely stay stranded for a very long time.

You have limited knowledge and little prowess of the language and you want to teach?

Yes, I think this is one of the way to learn and grow. I always keep a positive attitude towards learning. I know that I am a nobody now, and lack the capability to teach. But I have to start somewhere. On improving my language skills I am reading On writing well by Willam Zinsser and the Element of style by Strunk Jr and E.B White. The process is slow, but I believe in the power of compounding.
