follow up phone call

This guy emailed me (Friday afternoon) to say to that HR had passed my resume onto him and he was interested in my profile. He then asked me a few "fit" questions, mostly to see when I am available and for how long. I emailed him back on the weekend (Friday evening. My questions is, how long should I wait for him to reply before calling him---if I should at all?

Thanks nychimp

I'm still in undergrad, which is why I'm surprised he's interested. I assume he's gone through my resume where it states very clearly that I'm an undergrad.

The job is in asset management and there's no specific profile---the intern has to work on RFPs and go through mutual fund flows and study the markets.

You're right. If there's no response by Wednesday then I'll call.

Thanks again!

Relax, don't pressure him. Wait until Wednesday as someone suggested, I would simply write him a quick email. The guy is probably really busy, and there are reasons why he hasn't called you back. Same thing happened to me, the HR person told me she would arrange interviews and get back to me soon. It took her a week and a half to get back to me; I thought she had forgotten about me, but for a whole week she was trying to track down people to interview me :)

I want to work now! No, really. I want those 100+ hours/week.
