Front office at direct lending boutique or Middle office at a global top 20 FoF?

Started my career in quantitative risk analytics and mngmt at a boutique direct lending shop (~100m-250m AUM) based in south east asia and have worked my way into front office credit dd / asset allocation type of work. Really enjoy this role, and i get to work with smart, fun colleagues.

Recently, got offered by a global top 20 asset manager (>100b AUM, FoF w abit of direct/coinvestment). Role will be technical with 0 client interaction and mostly internal portfolio re-allocation type of work.

Career/Personal Objectives: Would like to pursue a masters from a top American/British university, and spend some time (next 5 years or so away from Asia, ideally USA/Europe). Does it make sense to make the move? I am afraid that jobscope wise im taking a step down as i wont get to work on deals directly/be client facing anymore, but a global brand name might help me with some of my other objectives. I also think that top 10 american asset managers are a bit out of my reach at the moment.
