Whenever I try to revise my comment to fix an error and I go about posting it, there are times it doesn't save down or some of the letters or words start missing. Is anyone else having the same issue? This happens to me on the website and though the mobile app and gets frustrating and annoying. I believe there is a bug that @WallStreetOasis.com" needs to take a look at

Same here. I am on MacOS, using firefox with various adblockers. Generally, firefox seems very slow these days.
I use chrome but the issue still occurs on the app. I think the website as a whole has a bug.

I noticed that happened to me on the app (v. 1.3.9). I tried to edit it and it looks like it went through, and then later I checked on the website (Chrome v. 80.0.3987.149) and it looks like it hadn't.

Each time I edit a comment, it first deletes a seemingly random letter (but one that is usually at the end of a sentence or paragraph....not sure if it's the last letter I typed before I hit send).
So there are number of issues. Overall, the main issue is that "saving" a comment doesn't always get saved.
1) When I write a comment and I go back to revising it, I save it but when I see the comment, it doesn't get saved. It actually takes several minutes or more for the comment to be reflected. Some cases, it doesn't reflect at all.
2) When revising a comment, a character or a word might drop off at the end of the sentence.
3) when writing a comment on the app, you can't create new space manually. So when I'm writing a sentence and I press enter, it won't create a new line when it's posted.
4) these weird < p > characters gets generate at the beginning and end of the sentence and gets super annoying.

@mswoonc, thanks for starting the discussion. I experienced similar issues both on app and PC. I used Firefox.
I have had this issue as well. I tested it on Chrome and Firefox.
The primary problem is that when you post a comment, unpredictably one character will get deleted. If you attempt to edit it, after hitting 'save comment' the page will display the corrected version you just saved, but upon reloading the page, you can see that the save either (a) did not apply permanently, or (b) the original issue of a random character being deleted occurred somewhere else.
Separately, when you attempt to edit a longer comment, the preview box on the right-hand side will prevent you from moving around on the page at all. If your post is long enough to exceed the vertical boundary of your screen, the preview does not have a scroll bar and keeps you locked into the preview only. You have to adjust the zoom settings on your page in order for the fixed-size preview to be smaller than the vertical dimension of your screen, then edit your post, then readjust your zoom to normal.
All of this has happened to me - the forum inserting random type-o's when I didn't make them, longer posts being too long to edit because the text edit box is outside of the bounds of the screen, etc.
Having the same issue (Chrome). I'll edit a comment and one of 4 things will happen: 1) Nothing, but if I go to edit again, the edit / preview interface will show that it's been made 2) Edit will apparently go through, but I'll check back later and it'll have reverted (but still made in "edit" interface if I were to open it back up 3) Edit not made, but a random letter will be deleted from OP (same thing with interface, again) 4) Works as it should

To make it easier, Patrick whatever releases you guys made. Look into that because that’s when this been occurring. Not sure if this helps but I think this been happening for a couple weeks now?
I've experienced the same issues with editing a comment.
In addition, to the above issues, I've noticed that I never get any SB's. So the SB icon is not working properly on my comments......
Also, when ever I post a comment, nobody post after me.....

you're definitely not out. every time you get a SB you get credits to vote.... did this happen recently?

Just wanted to add on and say for some reason, I can't edit 20-30% of my comments, even some of them that I have posted recently. Pretty annoying when I see a typo and can't make an edit.
A problem but unrelated- Why when I click on a notification, it will bring me to the page but not to my comment where the notification said I had a reply to?
If someone replies to me, the notification always gets me to the comment. If its just SB (or MS more often in my case lately) the notification won't bring me to the comment.
Hey guys! We pushed a couple of updates today to fix the issues you mentioned. The problem of losing data when adding comments is fixed now. We also improved scrolling on the preview.
Tomorrow we are going to send one more update that was impacting the app.

One thing that has happened to me is that the edit button simply vanishes. I make a post and it's like the post belongs to another user.

Also now that I think about it, the ''quote'' system is broken when quoting a long post. What happens is that on the right of the tab that opens on the bottom of the screen ends up including the post you want to quote, but then you can't type in the tab on the bottom left.
I don't see the point of including the preview on the right, especially if it breaks the system like that. Make the tab bigger too, maybe half of the screen.
Yes its been an issue for a while. The edit button is missing half the time, and often there are letters or spaces missing.

You may currently be working on this, so ignore me if you already know, but it seems that a "fix" for the text box bigger than the screen issue has now made it so that you can't scroll within the text box and/or when typing, eventually you get to a point where you can't see the words you're typing anymore unless you go after it all and hit enter a number of lines.

Edit is still broken. Now if you edit something, sometimes it shows, sometimes it does not.
Yeah I'm once again having trouble editing posts – multiple versions will appear if I refresh the page (once done editing).

Also... editing seems to be gone completely.
Here's what generally happens: -I make a post -edit it, click save -the changes do not appear in the post -I click edit again, the changes appear in the unsaved text (without me re-adding them, meaning they were saved somewhere) -I click save, the changes appear in the post
Also, in the edit tab: -the last line I am typing, on the left, is often invisible (but it is there) -the green ''add comment'' button sometimes isn't there, which forces me to refresh the page
