FT IB Route Recommendation

Hi All,

I'm currently a rising senior at a pretty decent target however I wasn't able to commit to my summer IB internship due to some unforeseen circumstances. I know this puts me in a really tough position for full time recruiting hence I would really appreciate getting some feedback on what I am thinking right now as well as any recommendations you may have.

Here's my plan:

**I managed to land roles at 2 different search funds, one remote and the other physical, which I know is a big drop from an IBSA role but it's all that I have right now. Also, the folks running the Search Funds are M7 grads and they've promised to help me network for FT in IB, so that's something.

After this summer, I plan on recruiting FT during the fall for IB. If something works out in IB then the following is moot. But if it doesn't then I plan on interning at a boutique/regional IB that whole academic year (fall, winter break, spring and summer break) and continue to network for FT during that time and hope to dear god that I have something for Fall 2020.

As a backup (suppose I don't have a FT IB role post-graduation), I'll also be recruiting for FT in Corp Fin (very confident I'll land something) during this fall. That way, I'll have a full year worth of experience at a boutique IB as well as a FT role in Corp fin after graduation. If it comes down to this then I'll continue to recruit for banking while doing the corp fin gig.

So to summarize this is what I'm thinking: 1) SF>IB>IB FT OR 2) SF>IB>CF>IB FT**

So what do you guys think of that? Does it sound realistic/doable? Sorry if it's a lengthy post. Appreciate any piece of feedback as always.

Cheers
