FT or internship with top AM or HF?

Hey everybody,

I'm currently a senior at a non-target looking for advice for FT and I appreciate any advice.

My college has no FT finance recruiting so I've been networking as much as possible since the beginning of the summer but I haven't had much luck and almost all positions are full at this point. I have a pretty good resume, I had an equity research internship at a NYC MM as a sophomore and this past summer I worked at a large fund where I analyzed a few industries (like BDCs and REITS) and created presentations/analysis on the diversification of the underlying loans. I also have top GPA and very good extracurriculars if that matters.

Unfortunately, the fund that I was at this past summer only hires MBAs or after two years of banking and same with the ER MM firm so I'm kinda stuck for FT.. all the banks pretty much filled up after the summer and I don't have any OCR for FT.

1) For research (buy side or sell side), is there any way to still find positions for FT at ~top firms? I'm going to keep reaching out to alumni/ppl but no one has really been able to help, besides telling me that the spots were filled at the end of the summer and that they'll try to keep me in mind.

2) If it's too late/hard to get FT, is there a way to get a spring internship at a top AM/HF in NYC?

Thanks guys.. I'll distribute as many bananas as I have
