FT Partners Interview Process
I'm interviewing for FT Partners first round summer analyst, which I heard is very technical. Does anyone have any insight into how technical it can get? I'm pretty solid on all valuation methods + accounting, but I'm worried they might ask something very specific to LBOs for ex. or something with PIK Interest, etc..
bump
Interviewed FT recently. Very technical, but not overly niche/highly specific material just know the basics inside and out and you will be fine. Make sure you don't bring up anything you're not confident talking about. Expect follow up questions and interruptions to ask for clarifications, etc.. Also be ready to talk about how you're ready to grind/you know what you're getting yourself into. HR is also very slow getting back to you.

has anyone gone to the final day and heard back from them yet, i went to interview with them last week and still havent heard back yet...thanks
You people want to be i-bankers with patience of a 5 year old. They posted on Doostang less than 2 weeks ago. I guess they weren't happy with the 1st stream of candidates.
FT partners has more threads on this forum than Lazard, Greenhill, and Perella combined.
um..thanks for your comment but i got the offer already, they called me yesterday...and dude in banking interview, you should expect them to answer you back within a week,if its more than a week, considering yourself just get dinged

Congrats on the offer, however I'm supposed to interview with them next week in SF (spring break this week). Did they say how many they were looking for?
congrats on the offer. This site seems to have extremely opposite views of this firms. However, I am sure it will look good on your resume for full time.
One person told me 4, but I thought it was 2-3. If they gave you a 2nd round, that means there must be 1-2 spots left.
thanks Eric, i hope all is well for you too, do you happen to know whether they accept international student though
not sure. Cant help you on that one.
.
just curious, monkeyinasuit, are you asian? i see all my asian friends doing that
Just curious, eric, are you retarded? I know a kid with down syndrome that asks questions like that.
i guess i am. You got me.
did you hear back from them yet...i am looking for a place to live up there
oh, i got dinged haha
but if you need a place. i have a house up in oakland, which is very close to sf, like a 20 mins drive, and very close to bart.
contact me thru aim for more details,
dude, london, chill out bro, if you dont like it then you dont have to comment on this thread, leave it man, i dont know why people are so against this firm, granted that it is a sweatshop, working analyst till death, but where doesnt, Houlihan is just as bad, moelis is even worse...as long as they pay me close to street then i have nothing to complain about, at the end of the day, its about $$$ and deal experience
haha, dont even listen to London. The kid thinks his shit doesn't stink. Not to mention he's only 19.
what about summer asociates? anyone know the status?
What the fuck is wrong with you
