Future Investment Banker

I am a High Schooler who is very passionate about the world of high stakes finance. I have high aspirations to become an analyst at a bulge bracket bank. I am just beginning the college search and am wondering how important is a brand name finance program. Do you need a top name like Wharton or Stern to compete for a spot, or do candidates from other top business schools that may not have great finance specific concentrations get considered too?

Thank you

Listen Will-Stone: At the end of the day, it's all about who you know, how you present yourself, and how willing you are to outperform your peers. I'm not saying your GPA and School Name do not matter, because they do. However, some of the smartest kids I know, who went to top ten programs, are not nearly as successful as the hard-working kids I knew that did not have stellar backgrounds. Regardless of where you go to school, just stay committed to busting your ass and you will succeed.

You're on the right track sticking around here and doing your research early. Best of luck to you.
